Beretta introduced a complete line of air pistols in 2000, which are identical in size, appearance, and model designation to the 9mm Model 92FS. Although the Model 92FS air pistol is identical in appearance to the Beretta 9mm semi-auto, it is not a semi-auto air pistol, but rather utilizes the traditional eight-shot rotary clip loaded at the breech and functions in the same way as a single or double action revolver. The barrel is recessed within a 9mm size muzzle, making this one of the most authentic-looking air pistols (firearm-copy) in production today. The slide is marked "Pietro Beretta Gardone V.T." on the left along with the PB logo, and marked "Carl Walther Alexandria/VA." on the right side. The airguns are manufactured for Beretta by Umarex Sportwaffen GmbH, the present owner of Walther.
