ROCHESTER
Previous tradename of air rifles manufactured by the Monroe Gasket and Manufacturing Company located in Rochester, NY circa 1948. The Rochester Air Rifle is the only model, a swinging air pump pneumatic, BA, SS, two-piece wooden stock, with a black crackled paint finish. Probably the direct ancestor of the Kessler Two Piece Stock Model (see Kessler in the "K" section) with which it is identical except for the names stamped on the barrel. Research is ongoing with this trademark, and more information will be included both online and in future editions. Average original condition specimens are typically priced in the $100-$300 range. MSR was $10.
