Dakota trademarked revolvers imported by E.M.F. company Inc. were initially manufactured by Armi Jager, located in Val Trompia, Italy circa mid 1970s-mid 1980s. Armi San Marco then began manufacturing Dakotas circa mid 1980s-early 1990s. Uberti was the last manufacturer to make this trademark, and it produced Dakota revolvers from the early 1990s until 2008.
