Sergeant First Class John Wayne Walding and David Feherty started 5 Toes Custom circa 2014. SFC Walding is a Green Beret and recipient of the Silver Star who served combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. David Feherty is a former professional golfer turned writer and broadcaster. SFC Walding's personal sacrifice - losing his right leg in combat - led to his unlikely meeting and subsequent friendship with David Feherty. 5TC was unique in that it provided hand-crafted custom rifles, built by great Americans, while giving back to charities.
