FRASER, DANIEL

The business of Daniel Fraser was founded in 1873 in Edinburgh, Scotland. After serving his apprenticeship with Alexander Henry, Fraser would go on to receive a number of patents relating to design and improvement of guns and rifles of the period, but specializing in rifle building as his master had taught him. The Fraser name is long associated with high quality sporting single and double rifles and became part of John Dickson and Son in 1918. Fraser continues to build these rifles in Scotland in the same manner, utilising the renowned Mauser 98 action to produce a functional and practical lightweight stalking rifle in the smaller calibers and Double Square bridge Mauser 98 actions for Magnum calibers.
