.256 Newton, .30 Newton, .33 Newton, .35 Newton, and .40 Newton cal., three Grades (A, B and C) of Mauser and Sauer rifles converted to Adolph and Newton calibers, total production is unknown. Two Models (A & B) of Mauser rifles and one Model (C) full stocked carbine converted to .256 Newton comprising the only shipment of 24 rifles from Germany in 1914. Mauser rifles are of the Type B style with various patterns and features 24 in. barrels, checkered pistol grip, double set or single triggers, hunting or military rear sights and sling swivels. One Model (D) of a sporting Haenel rifle converted to .256 Newton with Marlin made barrels.
.256 Newton cal., Marlin made, square cut rifled barrels, marked "o-o-o" before and after the barrel address and Newton style stock were assembled on a Springfield action by Newton or sold separately to be assembled by the owner of the action, customer supplied the sights.

Inc. o-o Buffalo, N.Y. o-o." Total production about 4,000 rifles.
.256 Newton cal., Mauser barreled action assembled into a sporting rifle by Sauer, checkered pistol grip, spoon bolt handle, double set triggers facing each other, three leaf rear sight and Schnabel forend, barrels converted to .256 Newton after they arrived in the U.S. A. Barrel markings vary, Chas. Newton Rifle Corporation, Krupp Steel or Rustless Steel. Made in Germany, 100 rifles imported.
