.22 LR cal., designed to shoot animal at close range once trigger mechanism has been activated (usually with bait attached to a lever). Mfg. by O.F. Mossberg for Taylor, ser. range 1-3,100. Introduced circa 1921.

.38 cal., believed to have been mfg. by Lovelace, markings cast in top of frame (brass) with iron barrel - all bearing the 1914 patent date.
