Umarex purchased Walther during 1993, and also manufactures ammunition, optics, and accessories. During 2006, Umarex purchased Hämmerli, and production equipment was moved from Lenzburg, Switzerland to Ulm, Germany. During mid-2006, Umarex purchased RUAG Ammotec USA Inc., and moved the company to Fort Smith, AR, and the company's name was changed to Umarex USA.
