South African Frikkie du Plooy bought the Musgrave patent and the remaining K98 actions from the previous factory. Together with gunsmith Gary Barnes he established a factory circa 2009 to build new rifles. Musgrave currently produces tactical/defense ARs and field, varmint, or sporter bolt actions. They also offer Musgrave barrels and gunsmithing services.
