MODEL B Description
.22 LR cal., original High Standard pistol, basically the same gun as Hartford Arms 1925 Automatic, small frame, 4 1/2 or 6 3/4 in. lightweight barrel (approx. 63" diameter at frame), fixed Patridge type front and rear sights, checkered hard rubber grips (later production versions have checkered grips impressed with the High Standard monogram), 10 shot mag. Beginning ser. no. 5,000. Approx. 65,000, early production utilized Hartford front sight, safety and takedown levers. Post War models have the frame contour of the B-US. C-R.
4 1/2 in. barrel #9000 1932-1942 & 1946. 6 3/4 in. barrel #9001 1932-1942 & 1946. Most guns found in serial number ranges from 5,000 to about 95,894 and from about 148,198 to about 151,021.
