.455 Webley cal., purchased privately by officers as well on War Office contracts. Mk I model approved in 1887, Mk II in 1894, Mk III in 1897, Mk IV in 1899, Mk V in 1913, and the Mk VI in 1915, the Mark number is stamped on the revolver frame, Vulcanite hardened rubber grips. Enfield also made the Mk VI Webley during 1921-1926. Mfg. by P. Webley & Son until 1897 when Webley acquired W.C. Scott and the name changed to Webley & Scott.
