This particular rifle is a safe queen in pristine like-new condition.

These rifles were offered to CMP affiliated clubs for competition use. They include the following features (copied from product catalog shipped with the rifle):

1. A2 rear sight specially modified to accept interchangeable "micro-aperture" peeps.

2. A competition front sight specifically ground for optimum visual clarity.

3. A 20" Bushmaster Extra Heavy Competition Barrel - a full 1" diameter under the hand guard. Precision button rifled in a 1 x 8" right hand twist with with an 11" crowned competition muzzle, they are machined from Chrome Moly Vanadium barrel steel and are hardened to Rockwell C26 to 32. As these barrels are shipped well oiled, they should e thoroughly cleaned before shooting - follow all break-in and maintenance instructions included with your rifle.

4. In the upper receiver, the bolt is matched to the Barrel Extension for maximum strength and accuracy.

5. The lower receiver houses a finely honed Competition Trigger that is factory set for a DCM legal 3.5 lb. 1st Stage and a 1 lb. letoff (2nd Stage).

6. The forearm features stock style outer grips over a "free floater" tube that does not contact the barrel. The sling swivel is attached to the leading edge of the tube so as to avoid any possibility of barrel deflection.

7. The buttstock has been improved for competition with the addition of a 3+ lb. lead counterbalancing weight which can be trimmed by the competitor to achieve proper balance and adds to the solid feel of this special competition model.
