Presently the company makes new 'Exhibition' shotguns using traditional W.W. Greener designs in 12, 16, 20 and 28 bores. Recently a 12 bore hammer gun was completed and all of the current production are of the very best Presentation or Exhibition quality.
Barrels - are made of the highest quality steel and bored to maintain the famous choke boring improvements, made by W.W. Greener in the 1870s, to optimize shooting performance. These ensure patterns of shot guaranteed to meet customers' exact requirements whether for game, wildfowl, or clay pigeon shooting. A few pairs of Limited Edition shotguns were made with interchangeable steel and damascus barrels.
Actions - Sidelock actions can incorporate the 3 teardrop, 5 pin bridle invented by Harry Greener in 1914. The Facile Princeps, reintroduced in 1998 is, weight for weight, the strongest action ever produced and features the traditional Greener cross-bolt adding extra strength and safety to these weapons. Recently two 'Unique' ejector shotguns were finished. This 'Unique' type of ejecting shotgun was also invented by Harry Greener as an improvement to the 'self-acting' ejector of 1881.
Stocks - are made from the very best walnut and customers can make their own choice from a wide selection when ordering their guns. Dimensions, including stock length, cast, comb and drop, with straight, half pistol or full pistol hand, are all carefully tailored to meet each individuals' shooting characteristics.
Engraving - Only the very best engravers are employed to design and execute the finest scroll work, game scenes, or other exquisite artistic designs. Chiselled relief engraving is a speciality and this may be embellished with gold and precious metal inlays to further enhance the beauty of the very best guns made in England today.
Degree of engraving and grade of wood are the basic differences between the models.
