The Fabricaciones Militares Sociedad del Estado (Military Industries State Corporation) of Argentina was founded to bolster the shortfalls of the Argentine defense industry during World War II. Later on, the company would begin manufacturing guns for civilian sales and export markets, these models primarily included variants of the Browning Hi-Power and Fabrique Nationale FAL.
Current state-owned arms manufacturer located in Buenos Aires, Argentina established 1941.
