Rigby guns have been manufactured in Dublin from 1775-1897, and in London, England 1865-2020, including a 13 year period in California 1997-2010. Rigby is currently owned by the German based L and O group and operates from its London based premises on Pensbury Place. Managing Director Marc Newton who was apprenticed under the last UK owner Paul Roberts, overseas production of Rigby's current firearms. Rigby has built a variety of different types of firearms over the past 245 years, including duelling pistols, shotguns, fowling pieces, magazine rifles and double rifles. The company is most notable for its association with dangerous game cartridges and rifles, including the design of the world famous .416 Rigby.
