Beginning in 2017, the Bushmaster trademark was used under license from Bushmaster Firearms, LLC by Crosman Corporation. For more information on Bushmaster firearms, please refer to the Blue Book of Gun Values (also available online).
Current trademark of carbines, rifles, and pistols established in 1978, currently manufactured in Huntsville, AL with company headquarters located in Madison, NC. Previously located in Windham, ME until 2011. In 2015, the Freedom Group was renamed as Remington Outdoor Company. On March 31, 2011, Freedom Group Inc. announced that Bushmaster's manufacturing facility in Windham, ME would be closing and new Bushmaster products would be produced in other Freedom Group facilities. The previous company name was Bushmaster Firearms. The name changed after the company was sold on April 13, 2006 to Cerberus and became part of the Freedom Group, Inc. Older mfg. was by Gwinn Arms Co. located in Winston-Salem, NC 1972-1974. The Quality Parts Co. gained control in 1986.
