SHARP

Founded by Kensuke Chiba, an airgun marksman and inventor, in 1952 as the Tokyo Rifle Laboratory. Name changed in 1955 to Tokyo Rifle Company and then to Sharp Rifle Manufacturing Company in 1960. Over twenty models of gas and pneumatic guns have been developed by this firm; most of these were produced for Asian markets. This listing shows main Sharp models seen in USA. Previous trade name of air rifles and pistols manufactured by Sharp Rifle Manufacturing Company, located in Tokyo, Japan. Previously imported by Beeman Precision Airguns, then of San Rafael, CA, and perhaps by others.
