ADIRONDACK ARMS COMPANY

The Adirondack Arms Co. manufactured a repeating rifle designed and patented by Orvill M. Robinson in Upper Jay, NY in 1870. Original models were made in Plattsburgh, NY, at which time A.S. Babbitt became one of several additional partners. In 1872, Robinson was granted a patent for a second model rifle. It was similar to the first model, except a wood forend was added and the operating mechanism was changed considerably. Following these improvements, Mr. Oliver Winchester contacted Mr. Robinson and purchased the entire Robinson company, discontinuing manufacture.
Located in Plattsburgh, NY, circa 1870-1874.
