C. Chapman was once thought to stand for Cupid Chapman, however recent research identified this Confederate maker as Charles Chapman, Sumner Armory, Nashville, TN. Thought to have made less than 100 guns, survivors include serial numbers 3, 6, 8, 9, 17 and high serial numbers of 52 on lockplate.
Located in Nashville, TN, circa 1861-1862.
