The Sliding Lock Repeating Flintlock rifle was designed/patented by Isaiah Jennings of New York, NY circa 1821, Reuben Ellis was the agent and contractor, and they were manufactured by R. & J.D. Johnson in Middletown, CT circa 1829.
Reuben T. Ellis, located in Albany, NY, circa 1815-1837, and New York, NY, circa 1837-1851.
