PARKER, SNOW, BROOKS & COMPANY

Charles Parker was the founder of Meriden Manufacturing Company, 1863-1868, and the predeccessor to Parker's Snow & Co. and Parker Brothers (the world-famous shotgun manufacturer) 1866-1934. A sub-contractor manufacturer of Springfield Model 1861 Rifle-Musket components early Civil War. Reorganized as Parker's, Snow & Co. in 1863 and produced complete Model 1861 rifles, circa 1863-1864.
