Providence Tool Company was a contractor for U.S. Model 1861 Percussion Rifles and conversions of Model 1861 Rifles to breech loading .58 Roberts cartridge caliber. After the Civil War, Peabody and Peabody-Martini patent civilian and military rifles were produced.
Located in Providence, RI, circa 1850-1917.
