Clay Smith has been building guns since 1972 and served 21 years as a journeyman at Colonial Williamsburg. He is continually building guns in the traditional manner, producing rifles, fowling pieces, and pistols of the 18th and 19th Century with the same care and attention used by the original masters. His goal is to build these weapons so as to preserve the old ways and to better understand the trade and tradesmen of the time. Clay Smith will take custom orders for weapons and accessories.
