WINCHESTER MUZZLELOADING

The Winchester name was licensed to Winchester Muzzleloading, a division of Blackpowder Products, Inc. Circa 2002-06. Current Winchester trademark established in 1886 in New Haven, CT. Currently manufactured by Miroku of Japan since circa 1992, and in Herstal, Belgium (O/U shotguns). Previously manufactured in New Haven, CT, 1866-2006, and by U.S. Repeating Arms from 1981-2006 through a licensing agreement from Olin Corp. to manufacture shotguns and rifles domestically using the Winchester Trademark. Corporate offices are located in Morgan, UT. Olin Corp. previously manufactured shotguns and rifles bearing the Winchester Hallmark at the Olin Kodensha Plant (closed 1989) located in Tochigi, Japan and also in European countries. In 1992, U.S. Repeating Arms was acquired by GIAT located in France. In late 1997, the Walloon region of Belgium acquired controlling interest of both Browning and U.S. Repeating Arms.
