The business of Alex Martin was established in Paisley, Scotland in 1837. The firm was most famous for its "ribless" shotgun and the regulation of .303 Lee Enfields. Alex Martin became part of John Dickson and Son in 1960. Currently, the business is managed and operated by John Dickson and Son. Although no new guns or rifles are currently produced under the Alex Martin name, a full repair, restoration, and recored enquiry service are offered for vintage Martin guns and rifles.
