MODEL 1915 Description

24, 28 ga., or .410 bore, top lever break action, 26, 28, or 30 in. barrel, small frame, non-adj. barrel lock, three piece take down (non-removable hinge pin), case hardened frame, walnut pistol grip stock and forearm, hard rubber buttplate, 4 - 4 3/4 lbs. Mfg. 1916-1942.

The .410 bore can be dated by its markings: 410-44 (mfg. 1916-1921), 410-12MM (mfg. 1922-1936), and 410 (mfg. 1937-1941 - only pre-WWII model chambered for the 3 in. shell).
This model was available under a store brand name through mail order catalogs.
The first variation (mfg. 1916-1921) has a short forearm, the second variation (mfg. 1922-1930) has a long forearm and squared off pistol grip, the third variation (mfg. 1931-1936) was known as the No. 5 Standard (may be marked on the frame), and the fourth variation (mfg. 1937-1942) is a .410 bore chambered for 3 in. shells.
