THE VICTOR Description
.22 LR cal., 4 1/2 or 5 1/2 in. slab sided barrels with either ventilated or solid ribs, 10 shot mag., adjustable sights are integral with the rib, blue finish, barrel tapped for weight, checkered walnut thumb rest grips, stippled front and back straps on frame, earliest ventilated steel ribs (1971) were smooth on top, later steel ventilated ribs were grooved, aluminum replaced the steel on later ventilated ribs, still later a clearance groove was added for spent shell ejection behind the barrel, solid aluminum ribs introduced 1973, early models marked "THE VICTOR" on the left side of the barrel, later guns marked simply "VICTOR" on the left side of the frame, a few transition guns are marked in both locations, early weights are rectangular with round bottoms, later weights were flat bottomed with three grooves.
