MODEL M-6 SURVIVAL Description

.22 Hornet cal. over .410 bore, 14.5 in. barrels, skeletonized stock with cartridge block inside, marked on the left side of the receiver "U.S.A.F. PROPERTY/ 128304/ RIFLE-SHOTGUN. SURVIVAL/CAL. .22/410, M6" and on the right side "ITHACA GUN CO., INC. ITHACA N.Y.", with the crossed cannon ordnance stamp, mfg. for U.S. military during the 1950s.

This model was packaged in survival kits for U.S. pilots, and is usually encountered with a replacement barrel of 16 inches or more. These are restricted as a National Firearms Act (NFA), AOW, (Any Other Weapon) that is currently registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATF&E) that has been classified as a "Curio or Relic" as defined in 27 CFR, 478.11. These weapons are still subject to the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
