PREMIER/CUSTOM MODELS Description

8x57mm or 7x64mm cal., these models were available from 1956 to 1968 and featured custom engraving of the metalwork and stock woodcarving. Some versions were also made for the market and such adornments were provided per the craftsmen at Steyr. These usually included individual engraved animal insets on the floorplate, receiver ring, and trigger guard, woodcarving in the oak leaf style, and wild animal figures on the buttstock. Gold inlays were available as well as monograms. All of these rifles offered single or double set triggers, and Steyr factory scope mounts, which were also engraved. Over a dozen standard engraving designs were offered for these rifles in any chambering.
