RUGER SR-556VT Description

5.56 NATO cal., GPO, 5 shot mag., 20 in. hammer forged stainless steel barrel, round, lightweight adaptable vented handguard with Picatinny rail on top, fixed A2-style buttstock, Magpul MOE grip, two-stage trigger, charging handle with tactical latch, 8 1/2 lbs. Mfg. 2013-2014.

Ruger has issued a recall on this model because the disconnector in the two-stage trigger system was not properly heat-treated by a vendor and can wear prematurely. This can result in an unsafe condition in which the rifle delays firing or doubles. No incidents have been reported, but this is an important safety issue. Please contact Ruger customer service at 603.865.2442 or at [email protected] to determine if your gun is part of the recall.
