.38 S&W cal., essentially same as above, except has inserted spur trigger, .38 S&W cal., 5 shot fluted cylinder, 3-1/4, 4, 5, or 6 in. barrel, blue or nickel finish, "S&W" monogram checkered hard rubber or walnut grips. Features unique to this model are flat sided hammer, half cock notch, and "inserted" spur trigger assembly (not integral with frame). This model would also accept the single shot barrel, limited mfg. 1891-1911. Approx. 2,000 mfg. in ser. no. range 1-28107. Watch out for fakes (and conversions)!
