9mm Para. cal., DA/SA, 4 in. barrel, blue or nickel (disc. 1986) finish, alloy frame, 8 shot mag., checkered walnut grips, 30 oz. Mfg. 1981-1988.
Production began on February 26, 1981 with serial number A669101. The first few thousand were supplied with a short wide extractor before reverting back to the Model 39-2 style extractor. The gun was discontinued in the fall of 1988 and replaced by the third-generation Model 3904.
