.38 S&W Spl. cal., Chiefs Special Target, mfg. from 1955 in 2 in. (see Model 36 Target listing and .38 Chiefs Special Target under Early Hand Ejectors) or 3 (211 mfg. beginning 1973) in. barrels, target sights, most were unmarked for model number, approx. 1,100 mfg. The other variation was designated Model 36 Target. Mfg. 1955-1975.
The Model 50 designation was not used until 1970.
