.44 cal., double action, right side of frame marked “STARRS PATENT JAN. 15 1856”, left side marked “STARR ARMS. CO. NEW YORK”, 6 shot unfluted cylinder, 6 in. round barrel, dovetail half moon front sight with rear sight a groove in the hammer nose, blue finish with color case hardened hammer, trigger, and loading lever, walnut grips, military and commercial sales. Mfg. circa late 1850s-early 1860s. RF=1.
