.455 cal., DA, square butt frame, cylinder retention/removal via a cam lever at the hinge on the left side of the frame, 4 (commercial, Irish, Canadian, and South African purchases) or 6 in. barrel, fixed sights, blue finish, top break 6 shot, ser. no. range 430,000-455,000. Mfg. by Webley circa 1919-late 1930s.
The Royal Small Arms Factory at Enfield Lock also produced approximately 27,600 of its version of the Webley Mk. VI (the No.1 Mk. VI) for the military from 1921-1926, with a serial number range: 1-9,999, A1-A9,999, and B1-B7,600.
