Spl. cal., lever action design, solid frame (less common) and takedown (more common), 24 in. lightweight rapid taper round barrel, shotgun style buttstock with serrated steel buttplate, tube mag., holds 3 cartridges. Approx. 20,500 mfg. between 1924-1932. Serial numbered independently to approx. 2,865, then serialized with Model 1894 production on underside of receiver. Simply could not compete with the Model 1894. Note that a small number of rifles were made during a parts clean-up from 1933-1942.
