BB/.175 cal. (smoothbore), rod-at-the-muzzle, pump-up pneumatics, muzzleloading, walnut quarter stock, nearly identical to the Model C, but with a flat exhaust valve rather than a ball valve, Model E is the patent pending version, round turret-like unit projects to each side of upper rear receiver unit, rear sight about even with front end of one-piece stock, front sight is a triangular blade soldered to top of barrel, Model F was produced after the patent was issued, round turret-like unit projects to each side of upper receiver unit, rear sight about 1 in. back from front end of stock, front sight is a thin metal blade straddling each side of the barrel, Model E guns are the first Benjamins marked with a model letter; they use the Model C flat breech cap overstamped around the edge: "MODEL E PAT. PENDING", Model F breech cap is stamped as such and bears 1906-1917 patent dates.
The Models E and F are the first really successful and reasonably safe production pneumatic air rifle models (by any manufacturer) and were extremely popular for 25 years, from 1910 to 1935.
