ST. LOUIS 1900 Description
.22 cal., SS, SB, 17 3/8 in. barrel under body tube, incorporation of the hand pump incorporated into the body tube of the gun. A wooden rod, bearing a washer, has been inserted into the body tube over the barrel. Multiple in and out strokes of this rod charge the gun. This gun uses the same curved barrel found in the 1899 model and the same simple rubber air supply hose pinched shut by the trigger action. Marked on the LHS of slab sided buttstock "ST.LOUIS AIR RIFLE CO., ST. LOUIS, MO, PAT. JUNE 20 -1899. OTHER PATENTS PENDING." 32 5/8 in. OAL.
Manufactured by Walter Benjamin’s St. Louis Air Rifle Company, and is also known as Improved St. Louis or St. Louis No. 2.
