in 1927, the Argentina Arsenal "DGFM-FMAP" began manufacturing the Model 1911A1. The slide marking is two lines and reads "EJERCITO ARGENTINO SIST.COLT.CAL. 11.25mm MOD.1927", these guns were made in Argentina under license from Colt, with Colt machinery, and with help from Colt engineers, and are known as Model 1927 Systema Colt.
This variation is not to be confused with the Ballester Molina/Rigaud Models (sold by Hispano Argentino Fábrica de Automóviles S.A., in Buenos Aires, Argentina - also known as the HAFDASA). Please refer to the Hispano Argentino Fábrica de Automóviles S.A. section.
