Colt Battle of Britain SAA Description

late 1st generation Single Action Armys purchased by the British government in anticipation of invasion from Germany in 1940. A total of 163, mostly .38 and .45 cal. in both blue and nickel finish were sent to England by Colt. These guns were fully inspected and proofed by the British, in many cases showing the exact specifications of the cartridge on the bottom of the barrel. Most, if not all, were unissued, and remain today in 90% plus condition.

Colt Battle of Britain SAA Features

A total of 163, mostly .38 and .45 calibers, in both blue and nickel finish were sent to England by Colt.
