.32 Colt Police Positive, also chambers .32 S&W Long and Short cartridges, DA, 2 1/2, 3 1/2, or 6 in. barrel, 6 shot cylinder, round butt and positive lock feature, half-moon blade front and notch in top strap rear sights, checkered hard rubber grips with the world "COLT" in oval at top last patent date on barrel was July 4, 1905, blue or nickel finish, 16 oz. (2 1/2 in. bbl.) Mfg. 1905-1927.

Early examples may be encountered with frame marked "NEW POCKET" and barrel marked "POCKET POSITIVE".
