.32 Colt or .38 Spl. cal., 4, 4 1/2, 5, 6, or 7 1/2 in. barrel, cylinder rotates clockwise, high luster blue through 1916, adj. front - adj. rear sights, checkered walnut grips, deep set medallions in grips were standard from 1913-1923. Mfg. 1908-1926. Last patent date July 4, 1905.
Following a similar change on the Army Special, frames with wider (early) and slightly narrower (later) trigger guards may be found. Beware of "cut-offs" and check patent date locations and the front sight and its location carefully.
