this was the last of U.S. Single Action production. Four thousand were inspected by Rinaldo A. Carr during this sixteen month period. As hostilities in the west subsided, demand decreased and many revolvers of this group went to state militias or were left in storage. Consequently, a higher percentage of R.A.C. inspected SAAs are found in excellent condition than those of other inspectors, and this is reflected in their value. The last of this group was shipped from the factory on April 29, 1891.
