.42 cal. pistol chambers and .63 cal. buckshot (18 ga.) shotgun barrel, single action open top frame, 9 shot unfluted cylinder, 6 1/2 in. rifled octagon revolver barrel marked "MADE BY JOHN H. KRIDER PHILADA. LE MAT'S GRAPE SHOT REVOLVER PATENT" over 5 in. round smoothbore single shot barrel with cannon style muzzle, rear notch and front post sights, round trigger guard, blue finish, checkered walnut square butt grips, lanyard loop on bottom of grip strap, color case hardened loading lever and hammer with pivoting nose which fires cylinder perc. nipples or shot barrel nipple on frame, 3 lbs. 2 oz. 13 1/4 in. OAL. 2 mfg. circa 1858 with Philadelphia address. RF=5+.
