.22 LR cal., 6 shot, 4 in. barrel, black anodized alloy frame, black (73,200-76,400 and 914XX ser. no. range) or brass anodized trigger guard, epoxy resin rosewood grips w/o medallion on early models, models mfg. after 1963 had oiled walnut with insert eagle medallion and anodized aluminum housing, gold tone trigger guard, steel ejector rod housing until 1964, early guns were marked with a letter of the alphabet before the ser. no., 17 oz. Mfg. 1958-1970.
