6 1/2 in. barrel only, serial numbered between 300000-340100, left side of frame rollmarked in two lines with "RUGER SINGLE-SIX WIN. .22RF MAG.CAL." The last few thousand of this variety were fitted with XR3-RED grip frame. Walnut grips became standard equipment in 1960 at about serial number 320000 and from 1960 to 1962 hard rubber grips were available only as an option on this model. Approx. 40,100 mfg. 1959-1962.
