the Model 52-1 is the same as the Model 52 except SA only, and the frame was grooved for a counterweight. The Model 52-2 is the same as the 52-1, except has a new extractor. The original extractor was overly complex, expensive to make and prone to breakage. The new extractor was a relatively simple hook tensioned by a coil spring.
The Model 52-1 was mfg. 1963-1971, and the Model 52-2 was mfg. 1971-1993.
