12 ga., first issued to troops in Vietnam beginning in 1967. Characteristics include a ventilated hand guard/bayonet lug, 20 in. cylinder bore barrel, plain wood stock with sling swivel, "US" stamped above the serial number on the underside of the receiver, "US" is also stamped above the description on the barrel. This Trench Gun was also sold to the civilian market without US markings.
This was the last of trench guns made, the first starting with the Winchester Model 97 trench gun during WWI.
