28 ga. or .410 bore, smoothbore pistol with shotgun type break open action, blue finish, color case hardened frame, built on H&R's small frame Model 1915 Single Barrel Shotgun action, 28 ga. standard factory loads (early production 2 ½ inch and late production 2 ¾ inch chamber), black and smokeless powder, .410 bore chambered for 2 ½ inch shells, 8 and 12¼ inch barrel lengths, oversized uncheckered one-piece walnut saw handle grips, detachable wire stock offered after 1932. Serial number in a separate series from 01 up to about 54,000 with both gauges in the same series classified by the government as NFA Curio & Relic, if registered with the ATF. Guns not already registered are illegal to own and subject to seizure. Mfg. 1924-1934.
