6.5x50SR Arisaka cal., Japanese type Mauser inspired action, 31 in. barrel, 5 shot internal box mag., two-piece bolt construction, adj. rear ladder sight, fixed front blade sight, full length wooden stock, bottom mounted sling swivels, metal buttplate, finger grooves on forearm, unique hook safety located on the rear of the bolt body, push-button style bolt release, brass-headed cleaning rod located under barrel, blued finish. Mfg. 1897-1905.
Unlike its contemporaries, the Type 30 Arisaka Rifle used a wire coil spring in the magazine rather than a folded leaf spring.
